So you've decided to take the plunge and join us. Use the contact form to tell us a bit about yourself and what you want to achieve.
You will not require any kit until you decide what area you wish to portray. You only need to parade at events you can manage (as your circumstances allow) plus our monthly meeting to discuss events. Information can be requested by email.
When you have decided, we can advise which kit you should obtain. It can be a costly business. Members may even be able to loan you items. The following should give you an idea where to start. Vendors can be found via the links page.
Here's an example of the items required to portray a basic Great War soldier:
1. Service dress jacket and trousers. (£190)
2. Service dress cap. (£60)
3. Puttees. (£30)
4. Grey flannel shirt. (£30)
5. P ' 08 webbing belt. (£25)
6. Studded boots without toecap. (£30)
7. Identity discs. (£8)
(Prices are approx and may change depending on quality and supplier.)
as you progress more can be added.

9. No 1, Mk 3 Short Magazine Lee Enfield rifle (de-activated or live on relevant FAC)
10. Period helmet.
11. Clasp knife.
12. Gas hood and bag.
13. Small box respirator and bag.
14. Tin mug.
15. Great coat.
16. Pack contents as per period regulations.
